All about Chimpanzees

Chimpanzees are amazing animals. Today on my blog we will be learning all about them.

Diet: Chimpanzees mostly eat what we eat such as fruit, nuts, and plants. Although they eat nuts differently then we do. Chimpanzees get a rock and smash it on the nut to open the nut then eats it. Unlike us, we just eat it. But they also eat some different things than we do like insects and seeds. They also use tools like sticks to get the insects out of their nests.

Habitat: Usually chimpanzees live in Africa. So that includes grasslands, woodlands, and rain forests. We sleep in beds, but they usually sleep in trees. They build their nests with branches from trees and leaves. Chimpanzees live in groups. Their group can have 20 to 150 chimpanzees. They also protect each other from other groups.

Body: Chimpanzees are big animals. Adult chimps can be 4 feet. They have long arms and legs. They are also almost covered in black fur.

Life cycle: Mother chimps only have one baby at a time. After a couple of months of being right beside mom, it spends the next 7 years learning from his or her mom the life skills. Also, it can live to be 45 years old.

I hope you know a lot about the chimpanzees' life cycle, body, habitat, and diet.
